ARTIST TALK: The Evolution of a Shared Experience: An Artistic Collaboration

Memories/Memorias Compartidas" is a traveling exhibition, organized for Provenance Center by Migdalia Salas and includes the works of 14 visual artists and writers and features two limited-edition artist books, Eleggua and La Sagrada Familia/ The Sacred Family and recent artworks by Imna Arroyo and Cuban artist Ramón Vargas Ártiz. The limited edition artist books in "Shared Memories" are a collection of linoleum cut prints that celebrate the storytelling traditions of Africa. They represent scholarship and artwork devoted to recovering the rich visual language of African (Beninese) and Afro-Caribbean Yoruba mythology and folklore.
