Qimin Liu:
A Journey of Art and Redemption

March 3 ~ April 14, 2012

Opening Reception:
Saturday, March 3, 2012 @ 7:00 p.m.

With work spanning nearly three decades of artistic expression, this exhibit examines the art and career of Qimin Liu, a Chinese-American painter who immigrated to the United States in 1991. Covering a wide range of his work during this period, the intent of this exhibit is also to highlight the personal and spiritual journey of the artist as he has sought to find and establish himself in the art world of modern U. S. society. Over the past ten years, the work of Qimin Liu has been placed squarely in the school of both Philadelphia Realism and as a direct descendent of the New York "Ashcan" School of artists, having gathered much national and international acclaim. Please join us as we take a look into the life and art of Qimin Liu.
